The Blackpink Lightstick. I don’t even know where to start with this amazing lightstick. This was the first toy I had ever gotten from my parents. The item I learned to love and cherish. It had been through it all with me. From sad times to happy times, it had always supported me and encouraged me to achieve my goals and ambitions. The button that is visible in the middle of the lightstick can control the lighting of the object. Pressing it once will lighten the stick up, allowing the group, Blackpink, to identify their fans amongst a crowd whenever they perform a concert. Pressing the button twice will allow the lights to react to the music, truly an extraordinary feature. Whenever I go to bed, this item of mine has to always be by my side. It also makes squeaky noises when you hit the cushion on something. The hammer shape clarifies its uses and it is multipurpose, which differentiates it from other typical lightsticks. The choice of colour that was used was magnificent! The black and pink of the lightstick juxtaposes the idea of being ‘cool’ and the idea of being ‘shy’. These two words put together may be considered an oxymoron, however in this case, they are combined to create a larger masterpiece. These two completely different colours allow people to realise that they can be themselves. People these days are often prone to insecurities which cause them to shape and alter their appearance and opinions to fit in. However the idea of being ‘two-faced’ or multi-personalities is completely fine if that is who you are. This lightstick heavily supports my point as it is something cool and cute at the same time due to the colour scheme. This object is ergonomic, symbolic and fun, which is why this is my most-loved item. To accentuate its appearance, I decided to put it to the side of the image. Usually, a person’s eyes are attracted to the middle object at first, however the white background that contrasts the colour of the black and pink creates invisible vectors, drawing the attention of the viewer to the lightstick. I believe this is the best way of highlighting its ergonomics and beautiful appearance as it allows the viewers to create their own assumptions of this useful toy. I used lighting to further showcase the lightstick’s amazing appearance since the light reflects off the pink light, creating a lighter shade of pink called baby pink. Overall, this is my favourite item as it includes all of the above-mentioned features.
