Minimalist

I took a photo of a purple flower that I found near my house. I lowered the aperture value to highlight the foreground, making it a minimalist photo.
I took this photo at a local cafe which had a pretty arrangement of flowers in cups. I made use of negative space by allowing the background and everything that is not the plant to be white. This contrasted the colours, highlighting the subject.
